Coloring Book and Art Supply Haul
I love coloring books and art supplies. I enjoy coloring in my coloring books but if truth be told I just like to browse the art within them. There are so many talented artist and illustrators out there and this is a way for me to collect art at a reasonable price. My students can relate to coloring books so I can also use coloring books while teaching them about art. This is my first coloring book and art supply haul video that I filmed.
Coloring Books
I purchased a Rachel Mintz grayscale coloring book called Innocence. I think the illustrations are sweet and cute. With it being in grayscale, I can talk with my students about value, contrast, and maybe even introduce them to underpainting. Kerby Rosanes is an illustrator that I am well on my way to collecting all his books. In this haul, I got his World within Worlds book. Johanna Basford is popular within the coloring community. I have one of her books and found this one at a great price so I could not pass it up. Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is just an uplifting book to enjoy. I got rain escape for playing with water media.
Pencils
Looking for a budget colored pencil that mirrors Polychromos colored pencils, I decided to try the square Brutfuner colored pencils. I also purchased Black Windows thinking they could be a budget set to Prismacolors (In the video I keep calling them Primsacolor…Why? Who knows lol). I have since bought the Dragon set of Black Widows to complete the set again. They are not a budget set but they are nice and I am happy to have them.
Pencil Cases
The two colored pencil cases I purchased have a band that holds three colored pencils or a couple of pens. I have tried them with colored pencils and found I like the single slot for my colored pencils. I am using these cases shown in the video for my pens and like that much better.
